The scaleup ecosystem in Portugal is growing fast, according to the conclusions of the “SEP Monitor Report”. Lisbon has the highest concentration of activity, representing 40 percent of scaleups and raising 65 percent of the total money made available to Portuguese scaleups.
Portugal has one of the most favorable environment to new startups and technology in the world. The World Bank’s «Doing Business 2018» Report ranks Portugal in the top 30 of the World’s most attractive locations to do business and in 13th place in the EU28 countries. The country, situated in the southwest coast of Europe, offers a strategic location, competitive costs and access to key markets.
